Gillespie Electric, Inc. Receives ABC Merit Award of Excellence for David and Carol Lackland Center
Gillespie Electric, Inc., a full service electrical contracting company, announced it has been awarded the Merit Award in the Electrical Category for its work on the new David and Carol Lackland Center at Centenary College at the Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter Associated Builders & Contractors' (ABC SEPA) 20th Annual Merit Construction Awards of Excellence program on November 17th. The awards program recognizes outstanding projects built by ABC contractors in the Delaware Valley area.

"Each year the competition for the ABC Merit Awards of Excellence seems to get even tougher. We are proud that the Lackland Center was selected among the elite group of projects submitted."
Centenary College, located in Hackettstown, NJ, is the primary educational and cultural resource for northwest New Jersey. The David and Carol Lackland Center opened July 2010 and is expected to be the most sophisticated space of its kind. Gillespie Electric, Inc's ambitous attitude provided the ability to surmount challenges and quickly complete modifications on site that arose while working on this complicated, unique building design. The two year project required close coordination, extensive layout detail to ensure the electrical systems were integrated with the work of other trades and on-going dialogue with other contractors was paramount.
ABC SEPA received 49 entries for this year's awards program. The projects entered must have been completed between March 1, 2010 and September 2010 and were judged by a team of 40 industry experts representing a cross-section of professionals, including architects, owners, developers and other construction industry leaders. Members of the judging teams visited each of the projects to evaluate the entries and determined the award winners.
