Gillespie Electric has completed the electrical for a newly constructed, high-performance Fire and Ambulance Station for the East Whiteland Township in Frazer, PA. It will create energy savings for the Township by being LEED certified and Energy Star rated. Extraordinary features include occupancy sensors throughout the entire building, time clock and relay panels for lighting control, along with low voltage with low voltage lighting in multiple areas all designed to be energy efficient. This 18,000 sq ft building has a spacious gear room, day room, pantry, showers, 4 dorm room, exercise room, laundry room, 4 offices, conference room, and an oversized training/meeting room. It also has 4 drive-thru bays in the engine room that house their newer, bigger equipment more comfortably. The open two-story has a 9/11 Memorial with a piece of steel from the World Trade Center which is highlighted by a LEED spotlight. Gillespie Electric along with other contractors on the job, helped contribute to this project by donating a portion of the work and materials they provided. This project was completed January 2015 on schedule within six months.
